SUMMARY:Cowl Knit Along
DESCRIPTION:Cowls are so much fun to knit! You can knit them with the basic knit stitch and a beautiful yarn and they are a dream to wear. Or you can start experimenting with different stitches and colors and with such a small project you can get really creative and still have a finished product relatively quickly! We’re going to dig into the world of cowls by the warmth of the fire back in our barn teaching space. \nYarn will be provided for knitters from our farm yarns. Students will have a choice of yarn combinations (and recommendations based on knitting experience will be given).  And as typical for February\, our lambs will be bouncing around outside. We’ll visit them at the end of class. Come join us! \nWe have allowed 2 hours for this event for complete beginners to have adequate time to learn the basics. If you have never knit before don’t worry\, this is a great place and time to start! \n  \nDetails: Yarn materials are included in the price. The 1275 collection will be best for beginners or intermediate knitters (2 colors can be selected) and the Annabel/Bjornicorn line will be best for intermediate knitters (3 colors can be selected). SUMMARY:Flora Fingerless Mittens Knitalong
DESCRIPTION:After so many requests from our community\, we are excited to finally offer an On-Farm Knitalong! \nWe will be making Farmer Whitney’s Flora Fingerless Mittens. They are a fun\, beginner knit embellished with basic embroidery stitches. There are two versions of this pattern so that we can welcome both complete beginners as well as advanced knitters. \nThe Knitalong will take place over two sessions. During the first session students will get set up making their first fingerless mitten as well as learn and see some of the fibers that go into making our yarns. During the second sessions students will bring their completed first mitten and learn how to embellish them with embroidery\, properly sew together the side seam and how to finish their project. The timing of these two knitalongs also means that there will be ample lambs hopping around outside to visit after our session has finished.  \nAlong with the two sessions you will receive the two printed patterns\, one skein of our Thick n’ Thin Yarn and the Li’l Mending/Darning Kit in ‘Brights’. (Yarn\, mending kit and pattern value is $64.87 incl tax) \n \nPlease note: This event will be held in our lovingly restored barn. SUMMARY:Young Farm Explorers Fall Session
DESCRIPTION:After a very successful spring session\, we are excited to offer this multi-week program again as we transition from summer into fall.  \n Starting in mid-September we will be offering an experience similar to our summer camp programs focused on children age 3-5. Children will get to learn about our farm animals\, plants and wildlife on the farm in hands-on activities. They also will get to do craft activities using natural materials to connect with nature in other media.  This is a drop-off program and children must be potty-trained and of at least 3 years of age by the start date of the program. We will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-12:00 and classes are outdoors rain or shine however we have pop-up tents and other structures to keep us dry. \nChildren will not be required to masks at all times however they must bring one to camp for close-proximity activities or to go indoors for the bathroom. \nSession dates are: Sept 15\, 17\, 22\, 24 and 29th \nPlease note the $200 is for all 5 sessions (not per session price)
