Pronking Around

March 17, 2023 //  by Whitney Freeman

Did you know pronking is the word for how lambs hop excitedly, launching off of all 4 hooves at one time and then propelling themselves in all kinds of directions. Sometimes in a healthy lamb you will see them start to try it in the jug with their mom, just a few days old.

After a few more weeks, and many more lambs, the lambs form their own little subflock that runs and pronks while the moms eat their dinner. And we can never get enough of these lamb races. Really.
