Current Job Opportunities:

FARM HAND

We are looking for someone to help with afternoon chores 4-5 days per week. This job manages feeds for the show sheep flock (and sometime the main sheep flock), goats, ducks, pot bellied pig, chickens and rabbits. From February through April feeds will also involve feeding the main sheep flock and lambs. The amount of time chores takes varies over the course of the year. On average they take 1.5 hours. The time of chores also varies as they must be done in daylight hours towards end of day. During the shortest days of the year chores should be started around 4pm. As the days get longer evening chores can be started closer to 5 or 6pm. The ideal candidate is methodical, pays attention to details, is comfortable working in any kind of weather (no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear!) and can lift 50lb feed bags without issue. Our philosophy on feeding animals is ‘if it’s not done thoroughly it’s not done’ and always leave the area prepped for the next person to do feeds. This job is a good fit for adults or a High School Junior or older with interest in animal science or similar pursuits. If all of this sounds like a good fit for you, please submit a resume and cover letter!

FARM MARKET WORKER

We are looking for an enthusiastic, upbeat person to join our market team. This person will be in charge of our market booth or farm stand on Saturdays, either New Canaan or Larchmont.

The ideal candidate is quick at absorbing information (learning a lot about our products and farm practices), is physically fit to set up & break down the market stand, and enjoys engaging with our customers while sharing their knowledge of our products.

There are opportunities to grow, both in responsibilities, days and hours, within this role as well.

Please submit a resume and cover letter
